Do you know what makes the most beautiful family photos? It’s not the perfectly styled clothes (although, wardrobe DOES matter), lush landscape, yummy lighting and stiff “cheese” smiles. I could actually take all of those things away and your photos would just feel…so….lifeless. Fake. Not YOU. Want to know the secret? It’s allowing your children to be children. It’s laughter and play. Movement. When you show up to love on your family—you got it right. Sure, things may not go perfectly right. That’s what I’m here for though. I will direct some game playing, some movement that builds authentic connection. If you have arms dangling at your hips, grab someone’s hand, an arm…cup your little one’s chin. Anything, really. This shows connection and trust me…your kiddos will respond to it! They will fall into ease when you are at ease. So, if I can encourage anything, just trust the process. Let them be silly, let them run, let them be. Silly kids just so happen to be my favorite! Let family photos not be a time of dread, let it be something that is looked forward to. Make it fun. Go celebrate with ice cream afterwards. Allow it to actually be a day of memory making. In return, I will give you actual photographs, your precious family–frozen in time. In the most beautiful and authentic way possible. That, friends, is what makes the most beautiful family photos. Let’s go create them together!!!
