If you ever wonder if I get to work with some of the most scrumptious babies, I’m here to tell you–I get the MOST scrumptious one’s ever! Those cute little squish’s are the living breathing life into my work. They never fail to make me wish to go back in time, even for a moment–just to hold my own whittle punkins once again. I know the newborn months can be hard and long and super exhausting. But man, I loved them. Not so much the not sleeping part…because those that know me, know that I had one in particular little boy who didn’t sleep through the night until about 3 1/2 or 4….I don’t know, it’s all a bit foggy the timing of it all. Buuuuut I’m not talking waking once a night, I’m talking like newborn waking….practically.every.single.hour. I was tired. We were ALL tired. But one look at his bouncy, shiny, crystal blue eyes and I could almost forget how tired every cell in my body actually was. I think that’s why God makes them so irresistibly cute and so dang kissable…. Because it can be a trying and mentally hard time. When I get to step into the world of my clients, and that soft baby scent hits me and love getting to live in the moment with them. And that’s kind of just how it goes with my newborn sessions. They are extra sweet and sometimes run a little long. I am okay with that, that’s what I plan for and expect.
Talk about a cute squish. This guy. He was that and more….
